Most people know that there are many apps available for your smartphone and websites you can access via your computer. This allows you to transfer money to friends and family. Venmo is one example of such an app. Many people love it because it’s quick and easy to use.
Venmo’s social aspect adds another dimension to its appeal. You can not only send money but also see what friends are doing. However, Venmo transactions can be deleted if you want to keep specific details private.
How to Delete Venmo Transactions
Let’s be clear: We won’t delete transactions. This is impossible.
Your Venmo account will keep each payment you make.
There is only one alternative: hide every payment and transaction from anyone looking at your profile.
Step 1 – Log in to Venmo App
To hide your transactions, you will first need to log on to your Venmo account by entering your email address, password, and username.
You will be changing your settings to Private. Follow these steps to make this happen.
Step 2 – Tap on the Hamburger Icon
Next, click the hamburger icon located at the top left corner.
You already know that this icon provides many settings for Venmo transactions.
Step 3 – Go to the Settings Page
Scroll down and click on the “Settings Page.”
You’ll see additional options and settings. Make sure to choose the one that will direct you to your transaction record.
Step 4 – Find the “Default privacy settings” option
Once you have arrived, you will need to choose “Privacy” to edit your Private Standard Settings.
This section manages all transactions.
Step 5 – Tap on “Past Transactions”
Scroll down, and you will see the “Past Transactions” button.
As we said, transaction history is not kept private by default.
We need to make this change immediately.
Step 6 – Select “Change All, Private”
This is the last step to “delete” your visible transactions once and for all.
The message “Change All to Private” will be displayed.
This is required to activate the private feature in your account.
Step 7: Go to Privacy Once More and Tap “Change Anyway.”
Re-visit the Privacy Settings page to modify your settings from Private to Public.
An email confirmation prompt will open.
To change your transaction record to private, please select the “Change Anyway” option from this confirmation prompt.
