Telegram is launching one-time view videos and audio messages as its primary rival. It is owned by Meta, which includes the messaging app WhatsApp.
In September, Telegram introduced a view-once media setting for one-on-one chats for the first time this year. Users could select the length of their picture or video that would remain visible following the opening, ranging from “view once” to up to 30 seconds.
With its new January update, the 10-year-old instant messaging platform has added this feature to both voice and video messages.
How to Send a View Once Message in Telegram on Android & iPhone
In September 2023, the app introduced the feature of viewing images in chats one-on-one. They’ve taken this feature to the next level by expanding it to include voice and video chats.
In addition, Telegram is adding a menu option that lets users stop and resume audio or video messages.
This new feature can be utilized for video messages:
- Chat in the area where you’d like to make an email with a view.
- Click the Paperclip icon in the chat bar and choose an audio.
- Click on the video. Select the view once icon at the top of the bar for captions.
- Click on View Once and then tap the Send icon.
The user can see the photo or video once, and the photo or video will then expire.
To transmit the voice message together, the feature of view once:
- Hold and tap the mic icon until you record.
- When recording, tap the microphone icon. Then, you’ll be able to see two icons to pause or view at once.
- Click on the Pause icon, then look once before tapping on the icon to send.
The person who received the recording can listen to the message once before the recording ends.
