How To Remove Community Chat In Messenger

    “Community chat” refers to a Chat designed specifically for your Facebook group. It allows real-time and public discussions among group participants. For example, you could use community chats to coordinate in-person events, discuss topics relevant only to a few members, or even socialize.
    Chats in the community are managed by group administrators, moderators, admins, and chat hosts. Unlike chats in the Facebook group, chats in your community aren’t subject to the same privacy guidelines as other chats in Messenger.
    Suppose you or your group can participate in chat rooms for community members. In that case, you will access them via the left menu in the Messenger application and messenger.com and directly on the Facebook group you belong to.

    How to Remove Community Chat in Messenger

    If you remove a group chat, the chat owner will be able to control messages that are not needed. However, you can delete a community chat only as an administrator. Being a part of the group, it is only possible to hide or delete the Chat. Therefore, we’re going to organize your online area in Messenger.

    Option 1: Delete a Community Chat (Admin)

    Administrators need to handle your community’s chats so as not to inconvenience participants. In particular, when an event is at its close, or a project is completed, an administrator must take down a chat in the community. This is why we’ve provided a step-by-step procedure to remove a community chat in Messenger.

    Launch the Messenger application from your smartphone and tap the three bars on the left.
    Choose the Chat you would like to erase in the menu that appears.
    Then, press the three dots at the upper right and select Delete Chat from the drop-down menu.
    Tap again, Delete Chat, to confirm the deletion of this Chat.

    Option 2: Hide a Community Chat (Participant)

    As a participant, you will never delete the Chat forever. But, you can make your community private from the rest of the world. Follow these steps to cover up your conversations in Messenger.

    • Install the Messenger application on your mobile.
    • Tap on the three bars to the left side, then click to edit the opportunity next to the Communities section.
    • Check the tick box for the group that you would like to conceal.
    • Tap Save to confirm the chatroom’s omission.

    Option 3: Leave a Community Chat (Participant)

    Resigning from a community chat is an alternative feature for chat participants in case they don’t wish to become part of an inactive group. Doing this will mean you won’t receive messages from the chat group. To do this:

    • Go to the Messenger application and tap on the three bars to launch chats and communities that you’re involved in.
    • You can leave a community by selecting it and tapping the”i” button, which is usually at the top of the right.
    • Select Home from the menu that appears. You’ll then be taken to the community’s Facebook page.
    • Tap the Join option, Select Leave Group, and confirm your decision by tapping the Leave Group feature.

    What is the excellent way to make someone a Moderator or Administrator:

    • Launch your Facebook Messenger app on your Android or iOS device.
    • Click on the menu with the three dots button, then select members as an opportunity from the Community Chat.
    • Pick the person you would like to designate as an administrator or moderator. If you’re together on the iOS device, you need to click “more actions.
    • Check on the Add as admin opportunity for this individual to be admin, or select the “Add as Moderator” feature for this person to become a moderator.
    • Press the Send invitation button.
    • After that, the users you invite as administrators or moderators will be allowed to accept or deny the invitation.

    Removal of someone who is an administrator or moderator

    • Start Facebook Messenger—Open the Facebook Messenger app on your Android or iOS device.
    • To access the Members feature, tap on the menu icon with three dots and then select Members as a feature from the Community Chat.
    • Click on the Administrators & Moderators feature.
    • Select the user you wish to eliminate as an administrator or moderator.
    • You can then select the Remove as Administrator opportunity to eliminate this user from the admin role or the Remove as Moderator opportunity to eliminate this individual from the moderator role.
    • If the recipient hasn’t received your invitation yet, you may tap the Cancel invitation for admin or Cancel moderator invitation choice to remove it.
    • Finally, click”Confirm.
